Spring invites us to wake up, clear out the cobwebs, and embrace the vibrant colors and flavors all around. In this seasonal cook‑along, we’ll explore simple Ayurvedic principles, classic Indian spices, and fresh spring ingredients that support strong digestion (agni), boost immunity, and bring extra life and energy into the springtime months. ON THE MENU Together, we’ll prepare a hearty and bright quinoa protein bowl, stacked full of fresh, spring vegetables roasted to perfection. This bowl is brimming with vitamins and fiber to promote healthy bodies, guts, and brains. It's also chock full of protein from the quinoa and ginger garlic edamame. If you want to amplify the protein even more, you'll have the option to top your bowl with baked turmeric salmon. We'll top our bowls with Tart Tahini Turmeric sauce (warning: you may want to start drizzling this on everything). Then we indulge in a creamy gut-healthy chia pudding that is great for dessert as well as breakfast on the go! As we cook, I’ll share the “why” behind each ingredient, offer substitution ideas, and guide you through techniques you can use long after class ends. We will also talk nutrition, of course. Both of these dishes are simple recipes and techniques that you can adjust a million ways to match your taste buds, your dietary needs, and/or what's on sale at the store. HOW IT WORKS You're in your kitchen, I'm in mine, and we join together around our virtual hearth to share recipes, community, and a warm meal. This is an interactive event. I encourage and invite you to ask questions and share your wisdom with our group as well, as though we are a bunch of friends gathered in the kitchen together. I'll send the recipes and shopping lists beforehand. You can cook with me, or simply watch and learn. Whether you cook along live or watch and return to the recipes later, you’ll leave with a nourishing winter meal and a deeper understanding of how to use spices and seasonal foods to support your well‑being.
