Service Description
Learn how easy (and yummy) it can be to integrate these simple, affordable, versatile, and healthy recipes into your weekly rotation. Together we will cook up a basic recipe so you're ready to eat and share at the end of our class. In addition, you'll learn the important elements of the dish and where you can play and improvise, so you can customize and adjust it to anything including what's in your fridge, to time, food sales, dietary needs, particular palates of family members, etc. Book just one session or attend all 4! ($11.11/session) Session 1 (4/24/23 at 5:30 pm PDT) - "Sensationally Simple Soups to Save & Savor" There's nothing quite as comforting as a hot bowl of soup and that's exactly how we're kicking off this series. My mom showed me how to build this basic recipe in less than 30 minutes. You can grab things from the fridge, pantry, and freezer so it's perfect when you haven't had time to swing by the grocery store. This evening's recipe will feature beans and veggies to create a warm, hearty, protein & fiber-rich meal to satisfy your belly and your soul. I'm keeping this plant-based for this first meal and I guarantee you won't miss the meat. I will also share a bunch of substitution options so you are empowered to create your soups any way that suits you. Session 2 (5/8/23 at 5:30 pm PDT) - "Scrumptious Skillet Meals that Steal the Dinnertime Show" Our next session is all about the SKILLET MEAL. One pan on the stovetop can make magic happen in a short amount of time. The base recipe will include lean ground turkey, mixed chopped veggies, and savory, herby sauce. If you prefer to keep things plant-based, I'll include recipe options for meat-free protein bases. Session 3 (5/22/23 at 5:30 pm PDT) - "Breakfast for Dinner is a Total Winner" We will whip up a loaded veggie frittata with an herby berry salad on the side. A frittata is basically a quiche without the crust that you bake up in the oven. Since it's an egg base, it's essentially a blank canvas that you can flavor any way you dream. Your recipe will include options to keep things really simple or more bulked up with extra colorful veggies. Session 4 (6/5/23 at 5:30 pm PDT) - "Yes You Can Rock Dinner with a Sheet Pan" Sheet pan meals are another of my favorites because you let the oven do most of the work and there's only one pan to wash after dinner. Plus, the protein, veggie, & flavor possibilities are pretty much endless!
